Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant is currently filming in Sydney, Australia and new pictures have surfaced from the set via Daily Mail.

A crew member is seen standing among the tree-like stumps which are grown out of a barren rocky landscape.
Hinting at an end of civilisation scenario, some huge monuments were toppled and spread across the dry landscape along with a large stone structure of a man's face which was left cracked and half-decapitated. Also there are aged stone structures which are engraved with hieroglyph-like writing.
The following images include scorched human bodies and people being attacked by what appears to be extra-terrestrial beings.
Over two dozen ashen human forms eerily frozen in moments of panic and horror as some desperately clamber up the steps.

Alien: Covenant cast includes Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup, Demian Bichir, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez and Alex England.
Directed by Ridley Scott, Alien: Covenant will have a hard R rating and will open in theatres on August 4, 2017.
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
